Lake County ROE: Assistant Principal Mentoring Program

Program Overview & Vision

Stepping into an administrative role comes with immense responsibility, rapid decision-making, and unique challenges. The Lake County ROE New Administration Mentoring Program is designed to be high-impact, practical, and responsive to your real-time needs. Instead of rigid, recurring full-day seminars, this modernized model combines 3 core, highly targeted in-person summit sessions with 25 hours of tailored, flexible coaching support (individual and cohort-based, both in-person and virtual).

• Summit 1: Fall / Entry & Foundation (9am-2pm, In-Person )- Tuesday, Oct 27, 2026

  • Focus: 90 Days strategy,  leadership effectiveness, building culture, behavior systems, navigating district politics, setting priorities, and establishing mentor coaching goals.

• Summit 2: Winter / Mid-Year Check-Point & Evaluation Focus (9am-2pm, In-Person) - Tuesday, February 2, 2027

  • Focus: Mid-year course corrections, conducting meaningful teacher evaluations, effective leadership skills, managing difficult conversations, and maintaining personal balance.
