Zion Elementary School District #6 Board of Education Vacancy
The Zion Elementary School District #6 announces an open seat for the Board of Education. This opening
will be filled by appointment by the Lake County Regional Superintendent of Schools. The appointee will serve the remainder of the term until the April 2021 election. Interested candidates must send a letter of interest to:

All letters of interest must be postmarked no later than June 8th. Candidates who submit letters of interest, will be contacted for an interview.
To be eligible to serve, a school board member must be on the date of appointment, a United States citizen, at least 18 years of age, a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, and a registered voter. Please note that certain factors or events may legally disqualify a person from serving on the Board of Education. Reasons making an individual ineligible for Board membership include, but are not limited to, holding an incompatible office and certain types of State or federal employment. A child sex offender, as defined in State law is ineligible for Board of Education membership.
