The Lake County ROE's SPLASH Conference, the only county-wide Institute Day, is an opportunity for teachers, administrators, and the entire educational community to join together for a day of Summer Professional Learning focused on acquiring new ideas, sharing insights into how we will transfer our learning into actionable change, and honoring equitable practices as we move forward in our teaching and learning.

Keynote Presenter:  Chris Singleton

Overcoming the Unthinkable Adversity

It's no secret that we all go through adversity. In this keynote speech Chris shares his keys to: Survive, Pivot, Adapt and Thrive (S.P.A.T) through all of life's obstacles.

Chris knows first hand how to overcome the unthinkable with a mindset of resilience and understanding that we may not be able to choose what happens to us, but we can always control our responses. Chris' response in the aftermath of his mother being murdered while he was in college led him to be drafted by the Chicago Cubs and now being one of the most booked professional speakers under the age of 30.
