About the Event

This workshop will provide a basic overview of both the science of reading and structured literacy from a practical perspective. That is, participants will leave with an understanding of the processes involved in reading, essential elements of literacy instruction, and strategies to more effectively teach foundational literacy skills. A large portion of the workshop will feature hands-on and dynamic training dedicated to the teaching of phonological awareness and explicit phonics.
