Corrections Division

The focus of the Lake County Adult Corrections Division is to provide the highest level of public safety services in partnership with our communities. The Lake County Adult Corrections Division takes great pride in the safe and secure rehabilitative environment it provides for its staff and inmates while exceeding all constitutional requirements and national and state standards.
  1. About the Jail

    The current Lake County Sheriff’s Adult Corrections Facility opened March 10, 1989, replacing a 20-year old facility.

  2. Community Based Corrections

    The Lake County Community Based Corrections Center processes, detains and monitors offenders sentenced to Periodic Imprisonment and Electronic Home Monitoring.

  3. Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Compliance

    The Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA) is a federal law that prohibits and seeks to eliminate sexual abuse and sexual harassment in correctional institutions and community corrections settings.
