    The Sheriff’s Office provides comprehensive investigative services for cyber crimes, crimes against juveniles, sex offenses, drugs, guns, gang activity, other illicit, underground activities, and major crimes that involve a multi-agency task force with vast investigative resources and expertise.

  3. Cyber Crime

    The Cyber Crimes Unit investigates any illicit activities conducted online.

  4. Death Investigations/Autopsies

    The Coroner’s Office is responsible for medicolegal (involving both medicine and law) death investigations, death statistics and organ donation.

  5. Emergency Management

    Lake County's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is responsible for coordinating plans, people, and resources to protect our communities. Be prepared!

  6. Jail and Corrections

  7. Highway Patrol

    The Sheriff’s Office Highway Patrol Unit provides law enforcement service to all residents of unincorporated Lake County and six municipalities under contract (Beach Park, Deer Park, Lake Barrington, Long Grove, North Barrington and Volo).

  8. Marine Unit

    The Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit patrols the Fox River, inland waterways and Lake Michigan to enforce state laws, as well as local and county ordinances, and to promote safe boating.

    Text-A-Tip allows kids who are worried about bullying, family problems, drugs or other issues to get help.
