  1. Affordable Housing

    Lake County has grant funds and forgivable loans available annually for non-profit organizations, municipalities and developers for affordable housing projects and programs serving households under 80% of area median income.

  2. Code Enforcement & Property Complaints

    The Planning, Building and Development Department is responsible for the enforcement of Building Codes and County Ordinances.

  3. Code Enforcement Hearings

    For nuisance violations, such as tall grass and weeds, junk and debris, animals running at large, noise complaints and minor health violations, Lake County uses a Code Enforcement Hearing process for resolution and compliance.

  4. Fair Housing

    Lake County promotes fair housing and seeks to comply with all federal and state housing laws, ordinances, and executive orders. Lake County recognizes and appreciates the value of a diverse population. This diversity can only be maintained and expanded if all individuals have equal access to a broad range of housing in thriving communities.

  5. Homeless Assistance

    Lake County has grant funds available annually for non-profit organizations and governmental entities to assist homeless persons. These funds provide for emergency shelters, transitional housing, permanent housing, and supportive services.

  6. Neighborhood Stabilization Program

    As of the end of August 2015, the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) program has successfully produced over 90 units of housing for low-income Lake County households.
